25 years of Base Group development
It began in 1990, when Ms. Barbara Sergot-Golędzinowska established a sole proprietorship, under the name BASE Promotion Service. Base Promotion Service has dealt with import the advertising materials from Western Europe to Poland. The 1990’s was the development of the capitalist economy in Poland, so accessories helped the companies to present in a new market.
A few years later, in 1994 company hired the first employees. In this time staff worked in a private house and the surrounding garages.
An important moment in the company’s history was 1997, when its operations were transferred to the office and warehouse rented from the city of Gdańsk at Elbląska Sreet 66.
In the new millennium, Base Promotion Service has enter as one of the best importers and distributors of gadgets. This was due to the need for continuous access to the euro area. Base Promotion Service bought the metal part of the company to become independent from the euro rate. In this way, operations expanded on production of small parts of welded steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The most part production of metal was exported to Scandinavia.
Next years had an increase in metal production. In 2005 at the Base introduced standards ISO 9001: 2004.
In 2008, the sole proprietorship was contributed to a limited liability company as an organized part of the enterprise.
The increasing production resulted in a decision to change the place of office and production. The company purchased a 9-hectare plot with State Agricultural Farm’s ruined buildings in Koszwały near Gdansk. Destroyed buildings were renovated and adapted to the needs of the company. Gradually achieved over 5000m2 of production space and 500m2 of office space.
In 2009, all production and office work at the new location.
In 2011, separated advertising department from metal production. Department of advertising material transferred to a newly formed company Base Promotion Services, the company was renamed on Base Group and created in the new Department of Marketing and Development. Operations Base Group focused on welding and manufacturing of metals.
2014 was a time of introduce standards. For better provision of services implemented integrated management system ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 14001: 2004. Farther introduce ISO 3834-2, EN 1090 EXC3, EN 15085-2 CL2. The certifications demonstrate continuing desire to develop and improve the company.
At the beginning of 2015 Base Group launched of strategic alliance with Wartmann Technologie. In the result of a collaboration companies reach a wide range of customers from the marine, food-, energy-, rail-, air-, telecommunication- and offshore industry and offshore.
Farther, in 2015 the Base Group started construction of a new warehouse and production hall of 2000 square meters.
We are constantly thinking about development. Now is introduce the new system, which streamlines production management, helps to increase the efficiency and quality of cooperation with partners through the automatic exchange of documents and controls the stages of production.
