One year ago, we delivered a forced entry door training simulator to the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Pruszcz Gdański. Even then, we knew it would become a heavily used training tool. Today, we can say with full confidence that the structure is operating at full capacity and is making a tangible contribution to the development of firefighters’ skills.
One year of experience confirms the effectiveness of the solution
During a recent visit to the unit, we had the opportunity to observe firefighters during training exercises. The door breaching simulator is regularly used to refine forced entry techniques, which are among the key elements of rescue and firefighting operations.
Training conducted on specialized equipment enables firefighters to improve:
- forced door entry techniques,
- proper use of rescue tools,
- teamwork during operational activities,
- speed and effectiveness of interventions.
Realistic Training Translates into Operational Effectiveness
In emergency situations, every second counts. This is why regular training on equipment that accurately replicates real working conditions is so important. The simulator allows firefighters to repeatedly practice various scenarios without the need to use actual building infrastructure components.
It is through this type of training that the habits and skills are developed which later enhance safety and improve the effectiveness of real-life rescue operations.
