Challenge: increasing waste volumes and operating costs
In many manufacturing companies, disposable wiping materials generate significant amounts of waste and contribute to both purchasing and disposal costs – this was also our situation. In the face of growing environmental requirements, increasing ecological awareness, and EU regulations, we sought a solution aligned with the circular economy model.
Solution: Implementation of a Reusable System
In December 2025, we conducted comprehensive training sessions for nearly 200 employees and implemented the MEWA reusable wiping system. A key component of the project was not only the introduction of a new product, but also:
- Clearly defined rules for the use and rotation of wiping materials
- Ensuring continuous access to clean materials
- Organized logistics of the circulation process
- Building employee awareness regarding waste reduction
Results: tangible outcomes already in the first quarter
The results of the implementation appeared faster than expected. As early as Q1 2026, we achieved:
- A 78% reduction in the use of disposable wiping materials
- A decrease in waste from 230 kg to 50 kg
This represents not only a significant reduction in waste, but also improved work organization and process standardization.
